You don’t need to make any changes on your Enterprise Email Server. You would just need to add a few details of your Enterprise Email server on MobilEmail™ server’s configuration page.

You can use MobilEmail™ either with a software version installed on one of your servers, or as a pre-configured Hardware Server (Linux OS).

Yes, you would have the option to configure MobilEmail™ to connect to Enterprise Email Server on non-standard ports.

7. Can I control / disconnect service of my users, so no email is on their device?
You, as an administrator would have the option to delete a user from MobilEmail™ server, thus barring the user from using MobilEmail™ on his device.

8. Is there any advantage with MobilEmail™ in terms of reduced data usage compared to other providers?
MobilEmail™ only fetches headers, and on the user’s request it goes and fetches body or attachments, thus reducing the amount of data pushed on to the device.

9. Can I as an administrator send messages to my users, if required?
Yes. You can send email or SMSs to all of your users.

10. What are the basic requirements for a user to access MobilEmail™ from his device?
The user needs to have a MIDP1 compliant J2ME device (see #11 below for device types), data service from cellular service provider and at least 50K of application memory.

11. How does the user download the client on his phone?
User can download the client Over-The-Air (OTA). Admin creates a user-account on server and SMSs download and access details.

12. What devices does MobilEmail™ work on?
MobilEmail™ works on any MIDP1 compliant J2ME device with a minimum of 50K application memory (almost all the phones in have this much minimum application memory); works on Palm devices such as the Treo family and other MIDP1 or higher compliant PDAs. Several smart phones now offer a full compact keyboard suitably easy to use.

13. Do they need to have higher memory?
The devices need to have 50K application memory available to install the client. Most devices, including low-end devices, meet this requirement.

14. Do we need to have a plan with a specific carrier as a group, any restrictions on carriers?
MobilEmail™ is carrier agnostic. If your carrier allows application downloads, you should be able to use MobilEmail™. You need to have a data service subscription from your mobile carrier.

Yes, you just need to delete his user account on MobilEmail™ server, and the user will not be able to access.

Yes, you can use the web-interface to add any message and enable ‘appending text at the end of every message retrieved’.

17. Can my users see attachments?
